Dear AUSTAR broadband customers,
AUSTAR recently announced that it has sold its 2.3 GHz and 3.5 GHz wireless spectrum to the OPEL venturers, Optus and Elders. As a result, AUSTAR will gain access to OPEL and Optus wholesale services right across AUSTAR's regional markets, and the company is currently developing plans which could see it further expand its product offering into voice and data services.
In the meantime, we are committed to continuing the operation of our services and support of our customers on WiMAX trials in Wagga Wagga and Tamworth, and it is intended that these services will remain in place until new broadband opportunities become available at a later stage.
